Partnership-Based training

My goal for each of my competition horses is to compete and develop them to the championship level of three-day eventing by taking the time to develop a deep partnership that will last for the long-haul.

ownership opportunities

A partnership between a horse and rider is a unique and dynamic relationship that is built on trust, communication, and mutual understanding.

This wholistic approach to training fosters a relationship built on trust, communication and understanding so that we may work together towards a common goal whether we are in the arena, the barn, or out on the cross country course.

The impact of these core values in training has given owners of my competition horses the opportunity to watch their horses compete on the worlds biggest stages.

ned

Ned is a 2012 KWPN gelding. Ned was sourced by Liz Millikin from Holland where he was trained in show jumping. Once he came to the United States, he was produced by Liz and sold by Andrew McConnon. Ned is a tall drink of water with a playful personality. He is not only a fun addition to the barn, but a great mover and has a love for jumping. He competed at his first three day event in 2019 with Lauren in the irons. His dressage scores are always in the 20’s and even scored a 19.2 at training level. He finished the 2019 season in third at the Galway Downs Training Three Day and will start 2019 at training level with goals to compete at the preliminary level later in the year. Ned shows tremendous potential for the upper levels, and in the meantime, is successfully learning as he builds up to the top.

purdy

Purdy is a 2002 Irish Sport Horse gelding by Karistos (sire) and Hallo Purdy (dam) who was imported from England in the summer of 2013. Already a seasoned Advanced horse, he has competed throughout Europe and the United States. Purdy was chosen to compete in the British National Championships in 2011 and has already proven himself capable and is very athletic and sound. Other Olympic Teams have attempted to acquire this horse for the 2016 games. For all these reasons, Lauren feels extremely fortunate to be Purdy’s rider. Aside from his previous honors, he has a warm personality and loves hugs and treats. This horse has the true ability to be an outstanding competitor. Lauren and Purdy successfully completed and represented Puerto Rico at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio!
