The group is composed of a number of horses that are being developed and trained to achieve our mission. The group gives owners the opportunity to stand by a common goal as opposed to a singular horse and with that they can follow the journey of getting to the Olympics and World Championships.
Team Latoni is comprised of an intimate group of investors who share the common goal of producing elite horses for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and World Championships.
Aside from competitive achievements at the highest level, other owner opportunities include:

Annual meetings to discuss Team Latoni horses and their training and progress.
VIP tickets to international competitions and barn access at competitions.
Access to our beautiful private training facility at Castillo Farm in Carmel Valley for a transparent, behind the scenes look at the horse’s care and training.
Regular updates regarding training, progress, and results.
Tax benefits and an opportunity to write off your initial investment into the team.
Based in Carmel Valley, California, Lauren Billys Shady is a two-time Olympic athlete, representing Puerto Rico in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Prior to her Olympic debut, she competed at the Pam American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and holds a spot on the 2013 and 2014 leaderboards as one of the top riders in the U.S. Most recently, in 2023 she received a gold medal at the Central American Games.
The collision of passion for horses and the love for competition has brought Lauren to this incredible point in her career.
To be a competitive rider, not just present, at World Championships.
To be able to give priority time to the syndicate horses.
To feel rested, fit and equipped to take on daily challenges at shows, work, and my personal life that fulfill our mission for Team Latoni.
Clearsky is a 2015 Holsteiner. He was produced by Olympian Louise Romeika and was second at the Bundeschampionate German Championships when he was just 6 years old. Clear Sky is a beautiful mover and takes his job very seriously, making him a perfect fit for Team Latoni.
Kingston is 2013 Holsteiner and is following in the footsteps of his brother Coolio 42 who is ridden by superstar Grand Prix show jumper Marcus Ehning. Kingston was a 1* horse when Team Latoni purchased him in December 2023 and is currently showing meter 1.15. He has super jumping blood and has a very athletic jump.
Sligo is a 2017 Irish Sporthorse gelding purchased in 2021 from Richard Sheen of Cooley Sporthorses. Lauren began developing him as a four year old and in his first year of competition, he went on to win 9 out of 11 shows. Sligo is a very serious competitor and loves to win.

The Latoni name was inspired by Lauren’s grandmother Maria's maiden name and is a nod to Lauren’s Puerto Rican heritage. When Lauren was 19 years old, her grandmother encouraged her to join the Puerto Rican equestrian team, which set Lauren on her journey to compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Team Latoni Syndicate will proudly represent Puerto Rico during the World Championships, 2028 Olympic Games, and beyond.
